WHAT IS SHILAJIT – Shilajit is a mineral based extract which is pale-brown to blackish-brown in color. It is found in the Himalayan rocks and is composed of a gummy substance. Shilajit contains humus, organic plant materials and fulvic acid. It consists of more than 84 minerals including copper, silver, zinc, iron, and lead.

BENIFIT OF SHILAJIT RESIN –

• Shilajit is useful in managing fatigue in the day to day life. Fatigue refers to a feeling of tiredness, weakness or lack of energy. According to Ayurveda, fatigue is referred to as ‘Klama‘ which is due to imbalance in the Kapha dosha. Shilajit helps to reduce fatigue due to its Balya (strength provider) and Rasayana (rejuvenating) properties. It also helps balance Kapha and thus reduce fatigue.
• A peptic ulcer is a gastric (stomach) lesion that is developed when the gastric lining is exposed to aggressive agents. Oxidative stress and free radical damage are factors responsible for gastrointestinal disorders. Shilajit may have anti-ulcer, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant activity.
• Testosterone is a male sex hormone that plays a key role in improving sexual health. Low levels of this hormone in the body can lead to low sex drive, loss of muscle mass, hair loss, and fatigue. Shilajit helps increase testosterone level and thus, boosts sexual function[2]. This ayurvedic herb is known to have rejuvenating properties which helps in improving energy levels and boost overall stamina and sex drive.
• Shilajit is also known to improve sperm count and sperm motility thereby playing a key role in the treatment of male infertility. Studies have proved that shilajit acts as a safe supplement to fight infertility. A study published in the year 2016[3] revealed that taking shilajit twice a day for 90 days improved sperm motility. It showed an increase in total sperm count in more than 60 percent of infertile men.
